Cars you have bought in 2026
#1

I've ended the year 2025 with a nice Avant Slot Ferrari (see cars you have bought in 2025) so I decided to start the new year with another Avant Slot Ferrari, this time a 296 driven by Franz Hermann (Max Verstappen).

The car (in the usual plastic case) came in a cardboard box where also there where extras: rubber wing and rubber mirrors Sun

I didn't take it of the base yet, it is secured with 2 tiny screws that can easily be lost.

Some things just cannot be resisted.
Avant Slot. Having read about the standards I checked before I ran it and... the rear axle had been forced down on to, and had jammed the drive shaft/pinion beneath the crown gear. It was pretty awkward and time consuming to get it positioned correctly.
Once that was done it runs well, it looks great and it stops really quickly. So quick I don't need to release the throttle until the car is already in the corner.

Fancied this one ever since it first came out - but couldn't justify the full 'Dealer Special' price.

Was sorely tempted by 20% off in the 2025 Black Friday sale but it was still over my psychological and self imposed price barrier.

Patience paid off though, as it appeared - VERY briefly - on eBay marginally below my 'I can just about justify that price' from a different seller, at the same time as I'd just sold a couple of cars from my HO collection.

SERENDIPITY!

Love T70's. Love Thunderslots. The two came together in this irresistible pair, being sold individually on the same Facebook page.

Green on the left is a limited edition of 200 of the Team Surtees 1967 Le Mans entry.

Red on the right is the 1967 B.O.A.C 500 entry from the Brands Hatch race.

Both are mint, unused.

The new Scalex cars are coming out. Older models are going on sale. Perfect time to buy something I have been passing up for a while.

I was never a fan of Roger Moore as James Bond. His Karate chops were too... delicate. The Lotus Esprit only had 180-horsepower. However, it weighed almost nothing. I really like the shape.

Another car I have passed on many times until now. I still have a 7-foot poster of one of these on my office wall from the 80's. The benefits of framing a poster = they last a long time.

The white Countach now has a running mate.

Thank you very kindly for looking,
Ken

I have one I could sell you...! 1:24 scale made from AMT model with ScaleAuto SC-8500 Home Series chassis. All that needs to be completed is the wheels. It has a full interior detail.

Hello DPJ,

Thank you very kindly for the offer. However, I already have a 1/24 Countach kit lined up. I just harvested the parts from a "home series" chassis for this build.

I've always been impressed with the Ferrari 333SP, love the sound of that 12 cylinder engine.
I have multiple 333SP slot cars from Racer and MRSlotcar.

This year I will be running a 333SP in our national Revoslot series. It is classified as a Prototype, the class where the Toyota GT-One is unbeatable.

But I now my limits, I will not win anyway  Cool

This is the car I will be competing with:

My first of 2026. A bit of a Monte Carlo Rally impulse buy…

However, I have a plan for it. First, it’ll go on top of the WHO sixteenth birthday cake on Wednesday and then be the subject of a tuning article for WHO racers as we focus on a production class club championship for our slot rally nights.
