Scalextric Power & the Glory Aston Martin DBR1
Picked this up at Cobham as well as the other shells highlighted recently so well worth the trip. Mostly intact body wise, but prime for conversion so out with the miniature circular saw and sectioned the under pan chassis as shown to drop in one of my sprung Goodwood chassis’. Remaining under pan parts superglued or screw retained back on and new body posts resin glued in to suit the new chassis.
Now its is boxer powered (Scaleauto SC0025b) and goes a lot better on its PSR alloy wheels, tyres and 10:24 gearing than the original S can powered chassis.
Cheers

Nice work. I have always thought these cars are prime candidates for straightforward 3D chassis conversions just like this one.

Very slow progress on my Hypercars. Life got in the way between purchase and today, so much so that the factory liveried Scaleauto Cadillac has been out for a while now. But it was fun to try the blue/black fade with rattle cans.
Decals, detail parts, clear coat for the Ferrari and clear coat and clear parts for the Cadillac. I don’t even want to think about the vac formed windshield for the 499.

I don't usually post on here with my potential builds.....as often they don't quite turn out as I would expect
But I have high hopes on this one getting finished or even looking presentable...either way, hope to be racing it in a months time (gulp)
It is of course one of those.......from far away, our friends from across the pond will know ?

So the pinstripe I painted last week was just too thick, so I sanded it away and am going to redo it properly to be 1mm. I also completed the side light fitment and made the lens
