Whats on your bench ...

The painted one at the front is the one I have left to work on, finish painting and tune.
The other unpainted shells with driver trays and screens are now all at the club being distributed for a one make race.
Shout out to Elegoo for an outstanding product that can knock out 26 of these with relative ease.
First tuning session yesterday and saw laps times get pretty respectable. I don't think much faster is possible, rather more consistency needed.

They look as though they were printed vertically front end up. What resin did you use?

Good eyes! Yes indeed after much testing of different ways and settings.
Using Elegoo ABS like resin 3.0 in grey. I had tried the black but was getting failures with that until I started mixing in some grey.

Although it takes much longer to print vertically you don't end up with a 'camel hump' on the roof like you do if you print them flat.
...I hope that ABS-like 3 is tougher than the ABS-like I used 2 years ago...prone to smash in a bad crash

Xlot Porsche Mods
On and off the bench for a while now is my rather battered Ninco Xlot 1/28 scale Porsche 997 club racer. The chassis has been used as a test bed to replace the pulley system with a sidewinder cog and pinion together with a new SW Boxer motor mount. From this, decided to add arches, front & rear diffusers and a new rear wing plus modify the body sit with new mounting brackets. This pulls the track out a few mm and the car is a lot more stable as a result, plus is more lively with the NSR EVO 21K motor using a 10:44 gear ratio than the old (and unavailable) Ninco XL1 motor.
Cheers John
