Before I had a slot car track as a kid. I built static model cars. I thought I outgrew them. Apparently not.
About 10 to 12-years ago, a nice couple here in Toronto had a website offering new 1/25 static car kits at around $12 to $14 each. It brought back some fond memories. Now as an adult with a slightly better budget, I bought a bus-load of kits figuring I'll need something to do later on down the road when I retire. Most of these were tucked away under the stairs for all these years.
It's too bad that Cindy and Marty retired their website. They are well known in Toronto. They still work at flea markets.
Now that I started converting some of these to slot cars. I look at them very differently these days. It's possible that I may have added a few cars since that photo.
Do you collect model kits?
Cheers,
Ken

Just to underline. 12 dollars Canadian is only 6.77 quid.
Dailey Hobbies in Whitby has a sale on overstocked 1/24 Hasagawa kits this week. They are only $29 in Canadian funds (17 quid).

Some people say Ebay is dangerous. Amazon isn't far behind.

Thank you very kindly for the suggestion, Anthony. Monogram sure do make nice bodies. My most winning club racer is a Monogram Cooper Ford. It's a very fast car with a 14k slow motor.
I was a good son and visited my mother today (she's 95). She lives over an hour away. However, Carefree Hobbies is only a few minutes from her door.
Besides the joy of visiting my mom. I found another treasure. A yellow red head for $20 Canadian funds because the instructions are missing. My favourite type of kit. Cheap!

Here's the last of my Hasagawa kits.
Here are the the Countach brothers. Big, and little brother.
What can I say. I like Lamborghini's.
