Nice report ( YouTube auto translate is a great help).

I agree: it is a fun car, very high standard of accuracy and finish (apart from the lower front air intake being too wide) that is fun to drive and slide around.

I look forward to the Bastos livery.

It's a bit confusing, but this car is the Ford Escort WRC, the successor to the Ford Escort RS Cosworth.
Compared to the Cosworth the WRC version had a different rear suspension, a 310 hp engine, different cooling, better layout and an aerodynamic package with a lower rear spoiler.
Small remark: The roll cage in the Scalextric version should be white and is positioned too wide too the rear of the car.
Scalextric did a great job and made  a beautiful car; a must have for slot rally fans (and others).

We never see these in slot rally, I've even got a couple in bits, maybe I should get one out and a project started.

Life is like a box of Slot cars... Cool Drinkingcheers

No wonder, most winning cars in slot rally competition are unfortunately much too wide.

Which is why I'm so keen on the "box standard" class in the 2024 Slot Rally GB Championship.
