Slot versions of BRM F1 cars?
#11

Heheh, I was going to mention the (so called) SCX P261 with the H16 engine, but since Brian has written a fairly comprehensive article on that particular model, I was assuming he hadn't forgotten, and had perhaps included it as the Scalextric(Spain/Mexico) C37/4037 - P83 (H16) which might be the original version?

I hadn't forgotten that one but I did neglect to add the relevant part number to the list. Fixed now. The two other numbers are the original 1968 versions.

Brian - Cox BRM F1 - and the Strombecker F1 - will put up pics a little later.... Oh yes and the Revell F1 (cox and revell are 1/24th)

Also Pendle took over the pre-add cars and they made an H 16 - will need to check if still available

Not sure if there's going to be many of these about, but, Pascal Celton of SLOT CAR LEGENDS started to make early 1960s F1 cars... Unfortunately he became very ill and died. He did manage to produce a Ferrari, a Vanwell and this glorious BRM P48.
It came in kit form but you had to supply Motor, wheels, tyres and guide. A real shame that he passed away, as they are truly beautiful cars. I wonder how many of them are out there.
