Boxes. Keep them or bin them?
#1

They take up a lot of space and most cars I have will be or have been raced.

I can see keeping the boxes adds value for a mint unused car when it's being sold on but do they add any value when a used car is sold?

Is it worth selling the boxes, or just bin them?

Depends if you are a collector or a racer !!

They add a marginal value to a used car but nothing spectacular. Empty boxes can sometimes fetch quite reasonable sums on eBay and sometimes not. May be worth a try if you don't mind the hassle. Otherwise see if you can shift some on here in the sales section. It would be a shame to bin them and environmentally unfriendly. I have often just given my surplus boxes away for free, there is usually somebody on the various forums who want them.

I had a collection of Ninco boxes which I turned upside down and placed into a diy MDF shelf cabinet with the old Scalex threaded brass car retainers as knobs to pull them out. Makes a useful spares cabinet that you can see the contents easily. You can also use the boxes as dust covers when spray painting.

I cut a slot in the top of one and used it as a setup plate for ages before an ally one was bought.

I've got a few with all the bits required for certain projects, then I don't have to go hunting for motor, wheels, gears, chassis, etc.  Each box a project-in-waiting and the fact you can see what's inside means you don't have to rummage to remind you.  These boxes are stored upside down for obvious reasons.

I think you should sell it. I think it's worth getting people interested in buying. better than throwing it away in vain
