Here is my public display - a mixture of Slot Cars and static models. An identical tower holds mostly static models with just a solitary slot-car (Fly Lancia Beta Montecarlo).
My private collection is in two chest-of-drawer cabinets and piled on shelves (!)

I made 2 simple box designs to interlock and stack for storing my cars.  A raised section in the middle keeps the tires from touching a surface and possibly degrading.  The double width ones used for larger cars and also for storing some spare parts.

All from standard sheet of 4mm mdf.  Quite economical as can make quite a few from a single 3 x 6 sheet.

LOL Gordon - I LOVVVEE the primary display area.... my wife would walk around muttering, hands in the air, with here OCD boiling over.  I am not allowed to pack the dishwasher cos I do it wrong Rofl

I'm the dishwasher. I can pack it any way I like!

Only ever had one when living with a woman and her two children. I still did it by hand unless the piles of dishes emptied the cupboards of clean ones. With just the two of us now, I can't see the point. When Ronnie is away, I just use one of everything and wash it before use, she does tend to use a few before washing them. I'm not a technophobe but still prefer the manual answer to many things.

I used to sell them when designing kitchens but found it a bit difficult to tell the usual porkies about how much better than a pair of hands they were.

you got it all wrong Gordon.. you have to use the dishwasher otherwise the machines will take over and destroy humanity because you didn't show it who is boss!

Wrong.

I told it to stand in the corner under the worktop and do nothing until I told it to.

It knew who was the boss....and it wasn't me but at least it was human...allegedly Tappingfoot .
