I've decided to change systems so my full scenic Scalextric digital track has been taken apart and i've started to lay down some policar track.
I believe this year policar hope to release R5 bends and digital lane changers but has anyone heard if they plan any digital pit lanes?

They are in Policar’s plans, I’m sure. However, they’ve been quite upfront that the digital elements of the system have been delayed. The wider radius turns do gradually seem to be appearing - R5s can’t be too far away.
A very useful compromise was when Professor Motor got Ninco to make their lane changers and pit lanes available without the electronic components fitted. These could then be added to a Policar track with the Policar-Ninco adapter pieces and oXigen lane change modules used for functionality. These track pieces are still available from Prof Motor in the US and via Gaugemaster in the UK (Pendles have them in stock too).
For those wanting a 100% Policar set-up… it’s best to send an email to Slot.it / Policar and see what the wait time for the digital pieces is likely to be.

Just announced are these new Policar track pieces, which will be available mid-March...
- P077-4 R5 11.25° Curve - 4pcs
- P071-6 Inner border for R5 curve - 6pcs - 11.25°
- P072-6 Outer border for R5 curve - 6pcs - 11.25°
- P015-1 Analog powerbase with border for lane 1 & 2 - 1pc
- P016-1 Analog powerbase with border for lane 3 & 4 - 1pc
Nothing on the digital pieces yet - but the arrival of the R5s has to be a good omen.

I wasn't going to use any borders but I put a few of the ones that came within the sets I bought and they are really good. So ive been buying and using where ever I can. Then I will make any for bends that are less thhan thhe Policar ones.
Track is down so don't require any R5s

The Lane 3/4 powerbase is interesting as it implies that Policar will expect 4-lane track users to continue to use the standard Policar controllers. I would expect that typical Policar buyers who upgrade to 4 lanes would upgrade the powerbase arrangement as well.
Mind you I suppose the production cost is very low so "why not?" even if they only sell a few.
