Maybe an SCX Fiat/SEAT Panda race would be funny?
Given their height, you don't expect these cars to have such good road holding.
Of course not comparable to a Le Mans race car.
Well the Annual 2CV Grand Prix was certainly close.
12 drivers raced, and the top 3 were covered by just 0.9 of a second after their 4 heats.
Step up Finals were fun, but its still difficult to get all four 2CV 's running equally speed and handling wise. Highest seed in each Final got the choice of lane, but cars were drawn randomly.....
Hope you didn't put too much money on the Yellow one Ken, the White French Ambulance car was generally winning, but the Blue "2CV Cross" entry took the Grand Prix Final.
Great fun, and nice to race something so different.
Yes, Fiat / Seat Panda racing would also be good. Anything that's top heavy, doesn't handle and is fun
We also race the Scalextric BMW Mini's as a club class, with only the original tyres. They spend as much time going sideways as forwards. A good leveller of driving skills, and very cheap. £8 or less at a swap meet.
It was a bit of a" Fun Night " yesterday evening.
GT CUP to start as always- modern Scalextric GT3 type models, from a list of eligible vehicles, with Urethane rear tyres fitted.
Then the 2CV Grand Prix, followed by Caravandalism 2. Generic Scalextric GT cars with twin axle Caravans in tow. Awesome
