Howdy from the Chesapeake area
#1

Hello.  Finding out about digital track has got me excited to jump into slot car racing.  I'm leaning towards 132 Carrera Digital at the moment.  I am hoping I can get one of the sets that release this October (may pre-order).

Would like to meet fellow hobbyists in the Annapolis-Baltimore-DC area.

Carrera Digital is a great choice. The SmartRace app is superb and links to the system via the AppConnect dongle - important when you have people to race with.

Have you checked out the Maryland Slot Car Shows? Next one is early October. It’s mostly HO, but always some 1:32 guys there.

Hello Saxinis ,
Greetings from Scotland.
Carrera Digital doesn't have much of a presence on English-speaking slot-car forums but there is some on here now. I think that the reason the Carerra system doesn't feature much is because it works...

Thank you.  I just found it the other day and have it on my calendar.

Thank you.  I found IHSR website about a month ago (not phone friendly, but works on the computer).  I was just checking the other day and it looks like I missed the summer racing schedule.

Thank you.  TBH, a lot of the info I have found on the internet is old.  Slot cars don't seem to be in good supply in the US.  I'm not sure how much is the pandemic and how much is the lack of interest  I'd go HO if the cars were detailed better, and I'd probably go Scalextric if Digital did not seem to be an afterthought.

Wavegreen  Welcome! My local source in western North Carolina carries digital Carrera track and cars. Online LEB Hobbies and Professor Motor carry track and cars. Digital seemed too cerebral for this old geezer so I routed a wood track and bought some slot.it cars. Lots of ways to have fun in this hobby.
