All 3 chassis are now runners. The body from my original chassis is OK, but I am having to find and prepare a couple of bodies for the Ebay cars..

I'm sure someone on line sells resin bodies for the Slot Stox cars Dan, looked a while ago for a couple when I was going to refurb a couple I bought cheap (bodies were cracked with age).
Will see if I can find the link

Edited to add - It was Greenhills who had bodies (original) scalextric-car.co.uk had the resin bonnets

Hi. "SCD" still list a 100 or so different  white plastic "slot stox" body shells as  does "FibreSlots" with a few, and "Hot Rods" as well. Have used these in the past.
There is also "Spikes Slot-Stocks" who I have not used, but supplies all spares as well as complete cars.

FibreSlots

Spikes Slot-Stocks

If you know of any other suppliers please add to the list.

I thought about a black hood for a while and figured it would look too much like a "Screecher" police car.

A candy lime green stripe might change things up a bit. Instead of a Hairy Canary Cuda. A Green Throated Yellow Camel?

I love your design Ken!!!!

@Iain: I have a few of those bodys (red/white) left, so would be available. And yes the MT chassis fits.
