Finished painting 2 of the ladies ,1/35 does not look out of place if positioned away from some of the giants . Next 2 I will try to paint before assembly ,more details could be picked out I think .

Painting Jerry Cans so I thought I would share this tip.

When painting small items it can be a challenge to hold them down and acheive a production line procedure.  Here I am using a strip of electrical insulation tape laid sticky side up and adhering the cans. I can (LOL) then paint the accessible areas. When the paint has dried, it is easy to detach the cans and place them with the unpainted side up... for painting.
Works for spray or brush application.
Double-sided sticky tape can be useful also.

Hi Leo ,why not stick the bottom of the can to the tape and paint both sides at the same time?
Also you can (ho ho) get some really nice straw bales for your rally stage from model farm supplies , quite cheap .

Yo Steve, I'm ahead of you on the straw bales/rolls...

At first I stuck the cans on their bases but that basis (LOL) can be a problem as each can can topple over unless one can use double-sided tape. That way each can can remain upright. 



Changing the subject quickly, my tankies arrived today and they are in Frank's lab for assembly.

Leo ,blue tac is good too ,even if it gets paint on it ,it comes off with a bit of manipulation (oh er missus) .May I ask what Frank's Lab is ? 


Now I get it , they're gonna get butchered !!
The details on those figures is amazing , I had great trouble with the guy with his hands on his hips , getting his hands on with the thumbs on the right side 

Will definitely purchase some more

Yes, the detail is great, loving the separate goggles allowing easy painting, plus theyvcan go into stock for use on other figures.  Not sure what to do with the pistols - its  good that they are also easily discarded (and made safe obvs)

Tank commander painted up in civvies ,got him to be the driver of the fire appliance ,1 more to go ,the spectators are filling up nicely but I do need loads more .

Thanks Leo, built out of plasticard and mounted on the back of one of those cheap Landrover thingies , I made one into and Ambulance as well   .
Looking through all the 1/35 scale figures and accessories there's loads of items that can be used ,a lot better selection than 1/32 and cheaper too  My circuit is loosely set in the 60,s so a lot of the modern stuff now made is no good for me .
