The Holy Grail of HO? The TycoPro Richard Petty Superbird. Only available for one year, 1972, 'The King's' car is highly desirable.

The car to the right is 'The Real Deal' and was obtained just this month after YEARS of searching. It came from a great friend in the States, as part of a 'collection clearance lot'. Prior to this I'd written the car off as 'unattainable/unaffordable'. 

Prices were out of this world, with cars going for four figures so ....... 

.... to the left is my 'Tribute' car. On the correct chassis but done on a modern body, which has 'factory modified' cutaway rear quarters and rear gravel pan and a shallower front spoiler to clear modern banked track.

The pair will be displayed together. 

   

P.S. This rarity came as part of a deal that, altogether, didn't come close to four figures. Thanks Gary!

... and I just LOVE this blue car. A Ninco sidewinder Megane. The aggresive shape, colour-scheme and alloy wheels called to me and I just 'had' to have it. Second hand, it's proved to be a great racer too.
