It could be yours - but for a lot more than that!
£45...and I'll collect it before midday?

Nope - I still live in hope.
Showered, shaved, dressed, fed, two days washing up done (who'd have thought microwaved meals could produce such a mess!) and elevenses prepared:
Plus couch cleared, so somewhere to sit when I DO have elevenses. (Just don't look behind me!!!)
Next? All the empty cardboard boxes out of the hall into the Honda Jazz in van mode - although a run to the tip will be the last thing I do, then dumpster diving to rescue some Carrera cases from the dustbin. I didn't realise they contained spares!
I might still do this!

Dumpster diving done. Nothing to recover.

Seems older Carrera - D-type Jag's for instance - didn't come with spares in the back of the base.
Hall cleared so collecting cars and spares from the postman will be easy and - Bonus! My wife will be able to get back in without breaking her neck. I'll carry her cases, of course!
Think I've got time to test out the sofa, have a cup of tea and maybe run one car?
Oh - and I just renewed my library books online. Yes, definitely earned a cuppa.

The end is in sight. The aim of the sortout was to be able to access my workbench - and I can! I know the bench itself needs clearing but that's possible now.
I know it doesn't look that much different to one of the first photos BUT this is now with almost everything back in and I still have a clear path to the bench. I should have taken a 'before emptying the room' photo. The door was perpetually open, with stuff piled against it - and there were only hazardous footstep sized gaps to get from the door to the middle of the room!
The front room is close to being back the way it was too, so I'm rewarding myself with a spirit and energy boosting early coffee break.

Nipped out to do some shopping - flowers, wine and a card - sat at the 'puter desk having my second elevenses, then I'll spray a couple more track borders and finish my end of the front room

THE EAGLE HAS LANDED.
A little bit late but only by minutes. Not sure how long it takes to clear customs but judging by the slot cars on their way to me I've got several days yet.
Done some washing and hoovering but don't want it to look TOO good. She might think I've been up to something.
Still got some time though as we booked an airport taxi to bring her home. (We've a bit of history with Manchester Airport we didn't want to repeat.

)
Might just chill out and gently tidy the area around my chair/work station in the front room. (I.E. play a bit!

)

Good thing the pizza box is pushing up the daisies....
My wife says (mostly truthfully) that only the bathrooms of our house are slotcar-free.

You have a slot car free zone? Well done!
Our bathrooms will occasionally see a slot car body being washed/degreased in the basin if there's still washing up I should have done in the kitchen sink.
