With reference to the SCX/Technitoys Rally Crew figures and continuing the conversation with 'Fluff' :
They are very similar to the roundy-roundy pit-crews apart from the heads and radio kit, so not too big a job to convert some. If your friend can print heads then that seems a good way to go. (Assuming the heads would be relatively cheap).
The Rally-Crew figures have some fine tools which would probably be difficult to mould. I don't have any experience of taking moulds or casting so cannot speak with any knowledge (Lloyd is dee man!).
Hi Leo, I'll see what I can find out . Pretty certain he can download stuff from thingy verse ,then he won't have to scan them .lf it's done by weight they should be quite cheap!!
In practice, the difficulties with 3D printing are: 1) getting the STL file for the item and 2) smoothing the surface of the finished item.
In the Dental scenario, aspect 2 may not be an issue. STL files can be scaled so any head could be sized appropriately.
When 3D printing became a thing, my local Asda store had a scanning booth/tent where peeps could stand surrounded by cameras and then get a 3D print of themselves. I don't know anyone who did... I don't know if they gave you the image file but if they did, it might have been useful.

Its about time you introduced a penalty system. Knock over a spectator, 20 seconds penalty, knock over an official, 30 seconds. Kill a spectator, 40 seconds, kill an official, no bacon roll.

Leo ,for one I never want a 3d image of myself , the real thing is bad enough !!!.The penalty system would have most probably have the reverse effect , with our crowd trying to get the most points . Anyway nobody is getting a bacon sandwich , I have got to raise the bar a lot higher
