I talked about my visit on GregGaub's "worldwide slot car chat" in the club-corner section.
Start at about 49 minutes.

Saturday June 25th race night.
Looks like B St E's low volts/low amps format does it again. Three different classes, three different winners including a maiden win for a first time visitor - and VERY close results throughout.
Kart results
The Club Karts class was won quite emphatically by local Hot Shoe Bill, who led the pack home by almost four laps, while second to sixth places were covered by just half a lap, visitors Alan and Hayden bringing up the rear. Not unexpected as this was their first chance to really learn the track, with some really oddball machines too!
The red and black grid looking good.
The ever popular Gulf colours seem to suit just about anything.
Open results
Obviously a quick learner, Alan moved up to the second step of the podium in the Owner/Driver Open class, inserting himself between locals Vic on the top step and third place man Shaun. The field was more spread out here in the 'virtually anything goes' class, which is limited only by the volts/amps available. I wasn't there but I believe this was run over two legs, one round in each direction?
Porsche results
The visitors bracketed the Club Porsche class with Alan taking his first win, as Hayden supported the rest of the field. It was close run though, with Mark battling hard to keep Alan's lead down to a third of a lap. A couple of laps back third to fifth all finished within the same tenth, overall positions being determined by Race Coordinator.
A good night - and there was even time for a cup of tea.
(Photos courtesy of Vic. See post 113 for Alan (Nonfractal's) thoughts on his and his son's visit. Would they come again? Seems so.

Saturday July 26th race night
Due to holidays we had only 6 people at the club night but racing was close and good fun as usual.
The Support race was for the club Peugeots, with new Slot it P6 tyres fitted.
Racing was fast and furious with many heats having 3 cars side by side lap after lap, Mark Jay being the winner with only one de-slot in all 4 races.
The Feature Race was for owner/driver 'open Rally cars’, with the first round being run clockwise, the second anti-clockwise (or v.v?) With the laps combined, the overall winner was Mark Jay with another consistent drive.
A very colourful grid fielded cars from eight different 1:1 manufacturers.
British Leyland Metro 6R4's by MSC
Fiat and Citroen by NSR and Ninco respectively.
Audi by Scalextric (?) and a Lancia (make unknown)
... and finally an MSC Subaru with Ninco wheels?
With a lack of track marshals, when a car came off in front of the drivers rostrum the driver, in his haste to put it back, took the 'Elbows out' 1:1 commentator phrase a bit too literally, accidentally nudging the closest driver off the rostrum and onto the floor. It was deemed a 'racing incident' although he did incur an unofficial verbal warning!
In the reverse race heats, a marshal 'forgot himself' and put a car on backwards, even though the race had been going for nearly 4 minutes. Could it have been the elbowed driver taking his revenge?
Can we have VAR for club race nights?
As the final screenshot shows, racing was very close, with just 3.4 laps covering all six drivers.
Next Race night will be Sat’ August 20th, featuring owner/driver American Muscle and Nascar cars with 20K rpm motors maximum.

August 20th - Last meeting before the Summer break.
SCX Club trucks
Check out the clock in the first photo'. 17:40. Forty minutes starting from scratch, to this point. Not bad eh? Note the casters on the edge of the bridge section. This certainly helped speed up the process. This section is too big to go on the trolley, right rear, and usually has to be muscled in from the store room!
Second photo, trucks heading to the grid. On the far side the newest addition, a custom Gulf prepared by Vic' especially for the occasion.
A close up of the Gulf. Compares well with the FLY GB Track version elsewhere on this forum. https://slotracer.online/community/showt...28&page=10
Next photo, typical 'head to head' action. The only way to tackle the orange and white 65, the fastest on the track, block it!
View of the rostrum with thirty six seconds on the clock and Vic leads Shaun, Mark and Bill as they come round to finish lap two.
Screen shot shows how close the class was after all six heats. The first four places each separated by 0.6 of a lap and the last two just a tenth of a lap apart.
Owner/driver NASCAR & American muscle
From front to back - Dave's Tide NASCAR, Shaun's Corvette, Bill's Camaro and Vic's custom Fedex NASCAR.
Looks like Shaun - and particularly David - are praying to the Slot Car Gods for a win.
Vic switched to the blue Camaro while Mark joined the fray with the lightly customised 48 NASCAR.
Enlarge the grid shot and youll see Bill's lightning reactions. Lights have just turned green and his orange Camaro is already a blur!
Mark took his second overall win of the night, ahead of Vic - whose change to the Camaro paid off - then Shaun, Doug, David and Bill.
Member loaned Legends
Only one photo of the last class, the Pioneer Legends race prepared by yours truly. Embarrasing to say the original red car refused to move in practice, being substituted with the Pearl White No.25. (Tested back home and the red car worked perfectly. Weird!) Anyway, lanes three, four and five were very evenly matched while the Gulf car in lane two proved VERY squirrely! Even so, racing was very close. Heats for these were 4 minutes, 3 for the other classes. David won by a fifth of a lap. Mark and Shaun tied for second, Vic was fourth, Bill fifth and me last. And the squirrely Gulf? Turned out I hadn't noticed that although I'd trued all the cars tyres it had similar - but different - factory fitted rears. I'll order the correct type ready for next time.
August 20th turned out to be the last meeting before the Summer break, so the next meeting is October 15th.
Oh, bonus! Although we ran three classes we finished racing early and were packed up and out the door before ten o'clock. Those castors must have had something to do with it!
