Synchronised swimming is sport and slot cars are toys.

Actually not all slot cars are toys, the RTR such as Scalextric and every other slot car that has the motor contained 100% inside the chassis and body and can not be touched are rated and categorised as toys, slot cars such as NSR, Sideways and other that you can see the motor when you turn the car over are rated and categorised differently, trying to remember what specifically that is, but can't currently.

I can recall the reason being the cars with the motor hidden, locked away inside are considered safer from electrical electrocution hence the toy rating and classification.
