Every club and group is different and any protocols will need to be tailored to that individual group and the people who race there. Our considerations at Worthing HO Racing were for a relatively large slot car club (pre-covid attendances of 20-30 people), meeting in a public venue and welcoming racers of all ages.

Irrespective of the many practical considerations we came up with, our decision to delay going back racing was made because...

• the raison d'être of our club is fun - and we're not sure it will be fun at the moment,
  
• we don't want to go back until everyone is comfortable and safe to join us, and
  
• we don't want to risk adding to infection rates in our community that might impact on kids going to school, people losing jobs and potentially their lives.
  

Other groups and slot car enthusiasts will probably have different views.

Normally we’d be drafting our season and class schedule right about now. But the more I delve into the rabbit hole of safety considerations, and especially because all of our club tracks are in members homes, the more I see us delaying any sort of start.
