Yes the DTM/ITC inserts sit on the lips of the 15.8 rim,which allows for use on 15.8 and 16.5 rims 
A cool idea, and (IMO) better implemented on the slot.it as they are very thin at the edge so as to not have a lip.
Of course that's assuming I can get them out of the stock wheels in one piece, sometimes they don't come out without a fight, but I do have some spare for worst case scenario !
