I did make my own basic spreadsheet a few years ago, but never kept it up to date. Like Gordon, my 1/32 cars are not too numerous and most are kept in plain sight or in my race box. It would be useful to keep track of my 1/64 scale stuff.
Part of the Ultimate Racer 3.0 programme (www.uracerweb.org) is a slot car database that links in with the race management side of the software. Each car has its own data sheet which includes picture, description, details of purchase, performance data from track, set-up (motor, gear ratios, wheels, tyres etc) a record of maintenance tasks performed (with dates) and a text box for more info.
