The club's tenth birthday is getting close - the opening night was on Wednesday 3 February 2010, when we opened the doors and an astonishing thirty-nine people came along to see what was going on in Goring. There are still three of us from that first night who are regulars at the club. We'll be presenting certificates to the seven racers who have raced in every one of the first ten seasons.
The Worthing Town Crier - Bob Smytherman - is joining us to open proceedings for the evening, which will be a 'normal' Nascar club night - racing on the first of four 'lost' Nascar race tracks from the US. That's Nascar-guru Keith's excellent theme for 2020...
The other three are Langhorne Speedway (May), Marchbanks Speedway (August) and Riverside International Raceway (November). I think I ought to break out a 60s or 70s Nascar racing body for this season.
