Both Jason's tracks look fabulous and would make really nice 2-lane digital tracks for six cars.
I agree with Jason's suggestion of starting with more simple layout and planning longer-term for the Nürburgring. The reason I say this is that a challenging circuit can be too much when you have all the challenges of digital racing - overtaking, avoiding other cars on your lane, pit stops, strategy and responding to features such as 'weather' and 'incidents' in the app (if you choose to use these). A simple track can help you focus on the digital skills until they become familiar. It is an enjoyable learning curve!
Which digital sets do you have? If you have ARC Pro, that is a really good basis for digital racing. If you don't, the C1404 ARC Pro Le Mans 24 hour set is a great starter set and good value. You will need two P9300 power supplies to run six cars - plus six C8438 wireless controllers and digital chips in each of the cars. The starter set comes with one power supply and two controllers. You will also need a pit lane entry and exit (C7015 "right-hand" for the Nürburgring plan) plus C7016 single lane half-straights. Jason's plans have five C7036 straight lane changers - you will get one in a digital starter set and you can gradually add the others over time. As Jason said, you will probably need to add power tap (booster) cables for the Nürburgring - but not for a shorter starter circuit.
Starting with a more basic layout will give you and your fellow racers the opportunity to learn the ins and outs of digital racing, how the ARC app works (guide here: https://slotracer.online/arc-pro-guide/) and try the alternative Magic app (www.magicstudio.eu/index.php/games/arcapp). You will see what you like (and what you don't like) and adjust your wishlist for what you want from your layout and race room. One thing to consider is whether you are happy displaying the app screen on a large tablet or project it onto a screen or monitor - and where you will locate it.
As for cars, I like the Scalextric GT3 models (here) - Porsche 911 RSR, Mercedes-AMG, BMW Z4, Aston Martin Vantage, Bentley Continental, McLaren MP4-12C. All those have similar performances, but slightly different characteristics. They all take the C8515 easy-fit digital plug and work well with ARC Pro. They run very well as they come and if you decide to try them without traction magnets.
I hope that helps.
