The WEC returns this weekend - it's the 8 hours of Bahrain...
The first free practice session is just about to end. Qualifying is Friday lunchtime and the race runs from midday to 8pm (GMT) on Saturday.
Bahrain is the longest test so far for the Team LNT Ginetta G60-LT-P1 cars. It's also the first race into the night - the Bahrain lights are dimmed to 50% of the brightness of the F1 race. The cooler evening air should be good for the AER V6 Turbo engines, not that the Ginettas have been short of horsepower - fastest through the speed traps at Fuji and a front row start and fastest race lap in Shanghai.
There are some changes to the driver line-ups. Ben Hanley stays in the #5 car and is joined by Sebring LMP2 winner Jordan King, plus works driver Charlie Robertson, who moves back from the #6 car. Chris Dyson finally makes his debut in the #6 car and lines up alongside Guy Smith and Mike Simpson.
