I thought I’d create a thread especially for the data ports seeing that they will play a crucial role.

The MPD comes with 2 data ports. Each identical.
I’ve just added.
A. Switch.
B. Potentiometer.
C. 8 channel wireless relay.  
D. 8 channel current detector.
E. 8 channel opto sensor.

So now the list to date:

1. 0.49” OLED screen.
2. 4.3” LCD screen. (UART)
3. 7.0” LCD screen.
4. Sound driver.
5. Hall sensor.
6. Tacho. 
7. Piggy back to a second MPD.
8. LiDAR.
9. Switch.
10. Potentiometer.
11. 8 channel wireless relay. 
12. 8 channel dead strip detector.
13. 8 channel IR sensor.

11/12/13 are for 2-8 lane analogue tracks. 

All these except 2 and 3 are I2C based.
