EBay is your best friend. It will get you the most for your collection. It also allows you, and the buyer some protection.
There are other selling platforms as well that don't charge you a kidney like fleabay does, do NOT use Gumtree, do your research. Be careful also of some folk offering serious low-ball prices, don't take it just to sell it.
You might even consider selling on consignment with terms such as timeframes etc to be in writing.
If posting on forums, sites, groups etc, don't flood the market.
I remember a substantial collection became available in Australia a few years back and the prices were ridiculous (too high) and wouldn't consider bulk lot sales neither... so there is a lot to consider, perhaps take the tips everyone puts here in a list and work through that.
As Ken said you need to photograph and document every single item so crack out that Excel. All the best selling
