it is important to use cars with similar performance characteristics, although this can always be tweaked using the Max Power and Fuel Load settings. You might also need to look at the Throttle Curve settings for some makes of car.

This is one of the main selling points of ARC to me. You can get good racing with two very differently performing cars.... or you can also tweak it so that a race i more even between two differently skilled drivers.
