Although it takes much longer to print vertically you don't end up with a 'camel hump' on the roof like you do if you print them flat.

...I hope that ABS-like 3 is tougher than the ABS-like I used 2 years ago...prone to smash in a bad crash 

Recently before a club race I was seeing some of the bodies that members had painted ready to start racing and one other member was trying out on the track.  I had run this on the track previously and had a fair few crashes.  A few body cracks and lost side mirror was the extent of the damage though.  But one guy at the club had a big off and the car hit the concrete ground with some force and the rear completely shattered.  So ya the ABS is still quite brittle.

Having said that, I have been testing some other resins and making mixes with some more flexible resins with the ABS.  As they are having a demand for this and offered to pay for bodies as the "durable" resins are more expensive, I wanted to test them for the durability.  So I got a body printed with standard ABS resin, and another with a mix resin and dropped a weight on both from a fixed hieght.  The ABS shattered while the mix resin actually bounced the weight back into the air.  Suffering just a small break on the rear wing.

   

So much more durable, but more $ and is tricky to work with.  Longer print times too as after calibrating for mix resin the layer exposure times were much longer.
