I must admit I was tempted when I saw this yesterday.

...would it meet the proxy width limits for it's year?

I have intentionally excluded the Shelby GT350 (because of the Thunderslot), it is well over scale compared to the alternative scale models.  Thunderslot  Wheel/axle width is 58mm out of the box compared to 50mm wheel/axle width of the Monogram/ Carrera versions.
