Hello Tibbs, If you have not already purchased the Scaley "050" motor, you may want to consider looking for a FK-050 rather than a FF-050,.........the FK versions are identical dimensionally, but come with Carbon brushes as opposed to the precious metal "feelers" in the FF motors,........the Carbon brushes will last much longer, and produce a touch more torque. Pendle and most other shops carry FK-050 motors in rpm ranges from 10/15K up to 40K.
If you have already purchased the Scaley FF, not to worry as the differences are not huge.

PS If you are using rear tires in the 20mm+ range, a gear ratio in the 3/1 (and higher numerically) will be a good starting point.
