Firstly, if you 'right click...paste as plain text' you won't have size/font issues.

Secondly, I don't like removing pinions by using the can, can end bearing and armature spacer as levers to remove the pinion.

Thirdly, that boss would be the first thing I'd chop off and put a proper spacer on the axle to stop the crown moving sideways.
