I was given a set of Fleischmann Auto Ralley back in the 1970s and did over the years buy myself more and more tracks. Now when I’m bringing the whole set back to life I’ve found that the metal track lanes are not that shiny as they used to be and even some rust has occurred. 

In order not to damage my tracks I’m looking for any tips or advice of how to take care of the worn metal lanes. What can I use to polish them?
