SOLD SCX Compact NASCAR, DTM & MotoGP goodies
#1

Part two of the 1:43 scale clear-out is an ultimate SCX Compact NASCAR package…

Many 1:43 fans consider SCX compact as a better system for enthusiasts than Carrera Go. The cars are less stuck down, have traditional guide flags and respond well to being converted to non-mag running. The track is more robust and has a rougher surface (like SCX classic) which also aids non-mag cars. It’s also easier to upgrade power and controllers, if need be. Compact has been difficult to find in the UK, although new SCX distributor Gaugemaster does support Compact.

Carrera Go!!! and the WRC rally cars work nicely on SCX Compact track (particularly non-mag) as do scratch-builds and older cars like the lovely Jouef models.

First, there is a brand new - still with its inner polythene seal - NASCAR Tri-Oval Superspeedway set. The layout is 15.9 feet long and takes up a space of 3.6 x 6.4 ft. There are wide-radius banked curves, lap counter and crossovers (I have brand new straights to replace those, if needed). It has a UK power supply. For NASCAR buffs, the cars are pre-COT Ford Fusions of Matt Kenseth and Greg Biffle.

The box is pristine. This would make an awesome present.

Price: £50 + postage at cost.

Now a load of cars to go with the set…

These three pairs are all sealed in their packets. We have a pair of COT Chevy Impalas (#29 Kevin Harvick + #88 Dale Junior blue National Guard version), a Chevy & Ford COT twin pack (#99 Carl Edwards + #88 Dale Junior green Amp version) and two pre-COT Fusions (#99 Carl Edwards + #17 Matt Kenseth). Price: £20 for each packet + postage at cost

These have been opened for a photoshoot, but are unused. We have two more Chevy COT Impalas (#31 Jeff Burton + #88 Dale Junior National Guard blue version) plus a very rare Toyota (Joey Logano) vs the #29 Chevy of Kevin Harvick… That was quite a rivalry!

Price: £20 per pair + postage at cost.

Finally, some lightly used, unboxed cars…

This includes a rare Greg Biffle COT Fusion, plus four pre-COT Fusions - Biffle, Kenseth (x2) and Edwards. One of the #17 DeWalt cars has had the magnet removed and K&D urethane tyres fitted.

Price: £20 the lot + shipping at cost.

For anyone prepared to buy the whole lot at discount price of £150 + postage at cost, I will throw in some extras including five pairs of K&D urethanes for SCX Compact NASCARs and three sheets of Pattos Place decals (Taco Bell #34 and Target #42 for the COT Chevy and #7 Motorola for the pre-COT Fusion). Some nice project potential there.

There’s still a SCX Compact MotoGP set to come, plus four DTM cars and some unpainted Porsche 911 GT3s. The only SCX Compact cars I’m keeping are a pair of ‘Cudas.

***All sold***
