Up dating the results from part 0ne of the Battle of the Merseysiders
Sometimes called the Revoslot Endurance Challenge … or let there be cake.. or inter club challenge .
The first round was duly held at the Wirral Slot Car clubs track in darkest deepest Wirral.
A very smooth compact track where there is never a chance for a breather ie no long straight.
The teams were selected and appointed by degrees of skill so we would always have an experienced Fast racer with someone who was not quite as quick ( yet) .
With our eight teams and 15 minute blasts on each of the four lanes the event was a 2hour in total but an hour per team, and as there was parc ferme so no cleaning or tinkering between lanes was not allowed the event was run in a very swift and concise manner.
So as expected the Wirral Slot Car member held a home field advantage and and their teams scored the podium finishes but with points counting the return match tomorrow evening will be an exciting event with the Hawthorne boys getting their own back on their patch.
So all to play for with at the moment team “Pot Luck” are topping the table Peter Wright and Kev Lea.
