I am reading all about the oXigen system now and really appreciate you steering me in this direction!
It appears I would still buy Scalextric track even for the oXigen system which is a bit puzzling but I think I can get my head around the particulars once I've read the oXigen manual deep enough.
My first thought was separating the power from the control must certainly be a plus but with no experience with these digital systems yet, I have no real idea of just how bad any interference could get or "drop outs" people may experience. Getting control signals through braid in contact with rails from a moving car just sounds like it could be better. I am certainly going to look into just what it takes. Chipping a Slot.it car to run on Scalextric while leaving the option to run factory stock Scalextric cars sounds appealing.
Thanks for the tip!
