I ordered one with a 0.4 needle as I don't need to do fine airbrushing lines (and don't possess the skills to do so).
That seemed a good choice for painting 1/32 car bodies.
I just researched to see how long to wait until sanding the Vallejo primer, and come across a good few people saying it doesn't sand and it dries rubbery.
But 24 hours seems like the number. Now I am worried in a few hours I may undo my work rectifying a couple of spots.
The good thing is, unless you're in a hurry you can always sand it down after a couple days of drying time and re-spray a primer coat.
Why send that new airbrush back??? What do you need help with?
