Ronnie decided that we need some different bunny hatches and a friend wanted to get rid of some so, yesterday, we toddled orf to pick them up. She forgot to mention that they are the solid concrete sort.
Today, I can move a little finger or maybe a hand up the the wrist. Anything that involves even remote use of the back or its assorted tributaries involves my cursing my ancestors, Ronnie (not in her hearing of course) and any possible gods/higher beings that may have had a hand in the design of such a naff piece of boney structure.
Anyway, today I used said finger and hand to lift a pair of pliers and a screwdriver and put together a test chassis for one of the 'new' Pittman 196Bs. Front half of a Revell chassis suitably modified with the pliers and it goes surprisingly well. Need some weight and I'm not sure it would stand up to the rigueurs of racing but as a quick and dirty test hack, it's rather good.
