The new track system has arrived! The only thing available at the moment is a My First Scalextric set (G1150) which is in stock on the Scalextric website (where I bought it from) plus a couple of other retailers. Most still have it as a pre-order.

   

   

Something that I noticed on the instruction leaflet is that there are enough track pieces in the set to build four different layouts, which is pretty cool for a basic figure-of-eight. This was something that was stressed to me when I saw the preview layouts in February - the aim was to make the sets more versatile with 3 and 6-inch straights and 45-degree curves. I didn't quite get it, but I do now... Nicely done Scalextric.
