More solder 'n' play than plug 'n' play, but there are a few good light boards with capacitors out there which will fit analogue, Scalextric digital and oXigen - and probably other digital systems too.

The one I've used (for analogue, SSD and oXigen) is the Slot.it SP16c Lighting Kit. The Belgian Zmachine boards are particularly excellent for night time endurance racing - the lights don't just stay on when the car deslots, but they start flashing

Anyhow, the next example I'm going to look at doesn't need lights. I'll be using the Scalextric and Pioneer Trans-Am cars to illustrate the 'Incidents' and 'Weather' features of the ARC app...
