Then a friend says "Hey Ken. This old beat up Suzuki Swift needs some TLC and a new motor. Would you take it if it was free?" I wince at first, and eventually give in.
It looked innocent at first.
Then I opened it up. The chassis was hacked out to fit a larger motor than stock. The single rear body post was broken/cracked. One of the front posts was stripped. Yikes! A disaster!
Then my friend tells me about a Shapeways universal 3D chassis that should fit. It was a mere $12 so I bought one. I then threw in a Slot.It pod and NSR shark motor. Slot.It wheels, etc. There are a few details left like wire, braid, and guide. New body posts front and back should fix it right up.
The body is just sitting on the tires at the moment. But there's hope for this little baby Swift to go... Swiftly!
My first rally car. Hell may have frozen over. Thanks for looking.
Cheers,
Ken
If it's going on a Rally stage, Shark 20 is best, Shark 22 has less grunt but more go, Shark 25 will feel the smoothest but need the top speed knocking back.
Life is like a box of Slot cars...
