I've been in two minds about getting this car - partly the big price rise, plus the disappointing mechanicals of the new models (compared to the 'old' SCX cars) and then I didn't think the shape of the SCX i20 was right... However, Hub's pictures do present the car in far more flattering surroundings than a plain white background. And it's Dani Sordo...
I've always been a fan of Sordo and expected big things from him. It never quite happened, despite some excellent opportunities at Citroën and then Hyuandai. Being an 'elder statesman' with a part-time deal, a great car and beneficial starting position certainly seems to suits him now - as it did in Sardinia in 2020...
No sign of the SCX Hyundai in the UK... but when it does arrive, I might re-visit my previous decision. Afterall, this car is the most current WRC slot car model available.
