I've been a big fan of SCX since I started this hobby almost 30 years ago. Their recent stuff has changed my opinion. Awful, cheap motor that, as Hub hints at, leaps out of it's mount the first time you hit the throttle in anger. 

I had to have a Fulvia, but although it is the usual lovely model expected of SCX, the running of it leaves a lot to be desired. I also bought the latest livery Audi R8, much the same outcome. Not a patch on the earlier RK powered one.

Our newest club member bought the Audi S1 for our hot hatch class. I doubt he will buy another SCX car again.

I really feel sad having to write this about a slot car brand that I have enjoyed racing over so many years.
