Returning to slot car racing after a 42 year hiatus lol! Digital systems are a game changer, and I’m so late to the game.
This is my first Carrera Digital track. It’s around 70 feet long, 5 right turns, 5 left turns, including one high banked R3, and one high banked R2. Two pit boxes, although I’m having an issue getting cars into the first one... This is a newbies first attempt without a track planner (there are gaps), and no R4 or standard R3 or R2, with mostly used track from ebay... It is evolving, more borders, and possible extension coming soon. Having fun using the Smart Race app.
This one is dedicated to the 2018 Le Mans 24hr race, and Porsche in particular, as it was their 70th anniversary of racing at Le Mans. Carrera produced a few of the Porsche 911 RSRs that participated in this race, and offered a commemorative “Double Victory” set in 1/24 scale featuring the two winning Team Porsche cars in the GT pro category.
My small collection of Carrera digital cars are just those that were in this race, in 1/32 scale. But I do have a few DTM cars. The rest of my small slot car collection is mostly Scalextric, for a digital track I have yet to assemble.
Looking forward to learning, and hopefully at some point contributing to this great forum.
