I love your Old Yeller ll. Superb. I was lucky enough to meet the current "custodian ", Mr Ernie Nagamatsu, at the Goodwood Revival a few years back. We chatted for like 20 minutes, and he even asked my Dad and myself to sign his racing book, which was full of stories/comments and good luck messages from Drivers, mechanics and supporters. Such a lovely guy.
I can make a resin bodyshell look nice, but my talents fall massively short of your skill and craftsmanship.
Oh to be so clever.......
However, Old Yeller still annoys me. At Bordo for the hot rods meeting, it was marked down hugely in the concours as it 'was just a sports car'. It was nothing of the sort of course but a proper backyard special built by one man. It did well in the racing but no silverware. Good thing it's the racing that really matters to me ( I came second overall between both scales) but I thought I'd captured the spirit of it pretty well.
Don Siegel has it now as it was his idea to make it in the first place. I kind of miss it but I still have the pics
