Again huge thanks to John and Kevan for enabling this project for me.
Yesterday I drew a breath and started the print run for the main body. Cura reckoned 6.5 hours for the job but I always run the feed-rate below 100%, starting the first layers at 74%. About half-way through, I realised I had left the setting at 74% so increased it to 90. Some may say I am being over-cautious about this but I appreciate a bit of comfort-factor.
Anyway, 8 hours later there was silence and the rather fruit-bowl looking element was complete - just in time to show it off on the WW Slot Car Chat. I gave credit to John and pointed peeps to here.
Have found a nice spot on the layout where it can provide a backdrop for photo-shoots.
Am planning to add a little digital clock/temp/voltage display so as to complete the look (also tinted glazing!).
Really pleased with this!
