This week’s update is a peek at the CAD screen for forthcoming release of a new CAN AM body shell. Currently we have one generic 70s LMP/Can AM shell which is offered with a range of chassis’ (AW, IL).
Joining it soon is a loose interpretation of the Shadow DN4 as below. Given various constraints of time, available data and software limitations it is not meant to be an accurate copy but a homage to the overall shape and style of the car from the period. Have also taken some liberties i.e. front intake such that the shell is more suitable for slot racing (in this case enabling the guide to come forward).
The car will come with a rear wing, driver, intake trumpets and will be offered with a range of chassis’ AW & IL and hoping to have this ready for sale in early January.
So far have one trial print as below, to check how best to print the shell.
Thanks go to Nimrod 444 from Slotforum for sending me an STL of the DN4 to base my design on.
Cheers
