No, it hasn't taken me this long to get the firmware sorted! Although mid week it did feel like it might...
There's nothing like a deadline to get you motivated. Gary Skipp/DiSCA are running a 3hr oXigen event in Derby on 31st October and I have entered as part of a 2 man team. My teammate is building the car up, and my task was to get the controller and chip organised.
I am pleased to report that, with a bit of assistance from Mr Flippant, I achieved the following competencies, and can answer questions on the topic until my memory of the traumas involved begin to fade: -
No dongle was involved, and I have no idea what firmware the SCP is running, but it works, and that's not a bad starting point!

- Uploading firmware onto a C-chip via the Nordic app
- Registering the C-chip using the Slot.it app
- Installing a battery box onto an SCP2
- Getting the SCP2 to communicate with the C-chip
