To a degree, it depends how difficult (ie...expensive) insulating the main loft is going to be and that goes over the entire house and will give me free space of about 10 metres by 7metres. Get a nice track in that space

As a slot race fan I can imagine that the loft may have been the decisive factor in choosing this house?

Strangely enough it wasn't!! In fact, none of the lofts were accessible when we first saw the house. As we were 500 kilometres away from home and had a dozen houses to look at, we were a bit pressed for time. I had assumed that I would be using part of the garage block as a track room but Ronnie seems to think that a trailer, mower, rotovator etc are essential bits of equipment but then she has always thought of the garden as more important than the house....bloody professionals eh? The car could have been left outside too.
