The man in the video is Wing Cdr Ken Wallis, a brilliant engineer who passed away in 2013. He built the Wallis autogiros including Little Nellie that appeared in the Bond film "You Only Live Twice". He also flew Little Nellie for filming.

Those slot cars are works of art and he seemed to keep pretty much everything that he built Including a shed/hangar full of his autogiros which his family are preserving and hope to exhibit so I wonder if they still survive.
