Hi - there is a major performance difference between brands. Often price will indicate a higher performance.

Probably out of the box NSR and Thunderslot will be the quickest, with Sideways and Slot.itright up there. If you want equitable performance, the best is to race 2 cars from the same brand.

If you buy a car 'you simply must have' and it is slower than your preffered brand, slot.it and others have upgrade parts - motors, gears, braids, wheels and tyres, that should bring some equality to your cars.
